May is Headboard Month!
It is headboard month here in the SkyKae Kreations shop. One is a pecan live edge slab with a walnut frame. Both woods used in this project are from Oklahoma. The pecan has some voids and cracks in it. I plan to fill them with epoxy and copper shavings. The other headboard is kind of cool. The customer has an antique mirror. It has a great design on top of it. She wants a headboard to match the mirror. I will use sapele mahogany wood and finish it with a nice java stain. She has some other pieces that need to be restored. She wants them all to match.
I have some sign work to finish up. I need to cut and sand the Boy Scout Arrow of Light plaques. I have some Burly Brewery signs that need work. I will mount the letters on one sign. The other sign needs a frame. I have a wedding sign that needs lacquer. I will wait until the brewery signs are ready and do them all at once.
I hope to get some work done on my personal sofa table project. It is pecan and walnut. It needs some filling like the headboard. Lots of projects are going on. We will get them knocked out. We would thank everyone that is supporting us. We have some exciting web stuff in the works. Stay tuned!
