Making a difference.
Last night, I attended an awards banquet for the Mount Saint Mary's robot team. I am one of the sponsors and mentors. I am the lead robot prop carpenter for the team. I build props that simulate the completion field. Some of the team members help me knock these out. The team made it to the world championship this year. It was great to able to help them out. Being a woodworker, I really like helping people out. I help out with people's dreams. They are working on a dream house

Getting it done.
I got a lot of work done on the live edge pecan headboard. It needs a little bit of trim. It will be ready to finish. When I was in Texas last summer, I visited a saw mill. The owner had a pecan table. He finished it with Waterlox. It looked great. I want to try Waterlox on the headboard. Weather permitting, I hope to have get a lot of finishing work done on Sunday. I would like to get the headboard and some signs done. I had a jpeg file of the design for the second headboard

It is headboard month here in the SkyKae Kreations shop. One is a pecan live edge slab with a walnut frame. Both woods used in this project are from Oklahoma. The pecan has some voids and cracks in it. I plan to fill them with epoxy and copper shavings. The other headboard is kind of cool. The customer has an antique mirror. It has a great design on top of it. She wants a headboard to match the mirror. I will use sapele mahogany wood and finish it with a nice java stain. She
